Geophagus abalios

Remarks: The captive bred options for this fish were formerly sold by us as Geophagus altifrons. They were misidentified by a local breeder who we sourced them from. It is common for the Geophagus species to be mislabeled by the collectors, since are many very similar ones and found in many different locations in South America. After doing more research and talking an expert in the field, we feel that this strain is the Geophagus abalios.
